It is a PDF document, but I can't open it. This is not a blog post. Please enter a title for the blog post you want to write: How to Overcome Writer's Block In order to overcome writer's block, you have to first know what it even is and why it happens. Writer's block occurs when your mind starts coming up with excuses as to why you can't start writing or continue working on what you're currently writing, even when there isn't anything stopping your brain from going ahead with the task at hand. Usually this happens because you either don't know what to write about, or you feel like you don't have anything to say. Writer's block is basically an excuse maker trying to get in the way of your creative flow, so the best way to combat it is by simply getting right down to brass tacks and writing, even if it means writing badly. Every writer knows that when they sit down at their desk in the morning with their head full of ideas for what they want to write that it will end up looking like a disaster after one or two tries. This is because when you start doing something new there is still a great deal of work for your brain to do in order to figure out how things work. The first two or three things you write are usually the worst, because your brain is still trying to figure out how to work properly. That's why it's important to keep writing even if what you're writing isn't very good, because by doing this you're allowing your brain to get the hang of things and that way it will produce better results in the future. The best cure for writer's block is simply forcing yourself to write something no matter how bad it ends up being. It'll always start off slow and awkward, but after a few tries at it your mind will start to pick up on what works and what doesn't. Then you can take your best ideas and refine them into something that's more interesting, before finally moving on to creating something entirely new. When you sit down with the intention of writing about a specific topic, you'll always find that there are other things on your mind. When this happens your brain will automatically start drifting off topic until it finds something else that's more interesting or exciting to focus on. You can avoid this by simply forming a clear outline in your head about what you want to write, then following that outline step by step without deviating from it. That way when your mind starts wanting to explore other options, you just go back to what you were doing instead of getting sidetracked. When you sit down to write make sure that the clock is ticking away. If you have any ideas for things you want to do, make sure you start working on them before the clock runs out. This way, when your mind starts getting distracted with what it's doing it will also pick up on what comes next in your outline. Once this happens it'll find itself over in the right direction again and will be able to focus better on your original goal. When you're working on an outline, it's very easy to let your mind wander off into topics that don't really matter or that are completely irrelevant to what you're writing about. cfa1e77820
